The Friends of St. George’s is a group of people who love St. George’s church building (and hall) and who work together to raise funds for their maintenance, restoration and development to be a great community asset for the town of St. George’s and a continuing place of Christian worship.
Through the year the Friends put on various fundraising events in the church. These include:
- Art Exhibition in July
- Organ Recitals
- Christmas Tree Festival
- Church Open and Tours during Yard Sale on 2nd Saturday of month June to September
We are also hoping to be able to open the church more regularly for people to pop in and visit and are looking for more volunteers to sit in the church and welcome people or possibly even be trained to giver tours of the tower and crypt.
