EMBARGOED TO 2230 FRIDAY FEBRUARY 10
EDITORIAL USE ONLY
Undated handout illustration issued by Buckingham Palace of the English version of the official Coronation emblem of King Charles III and the Queen Consort, which has been designed by Sir Jony Ive, formerly the chief design officer at Apple. Issue date: Friday February 10, 2023. PA Photo. The emblem pays tribute to the King’s love of the natural world, unifying the flora of the four nations of the United Kingdom – the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales, and the shamrock of Northern Ireland. Together, the flowers create the shape of St Edward’s Crown, with which he will be crowned during the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, May 6. The emblem has been designed using the red, white and blue of the union flag. See PA story ROYAL Coronation. Photo credit should read: Buckingham Palace/PA Wire
