Thank you so much to the three very talented musicians: Lisete, Petra and Iva for a fantastic baroque concert at St. George’s Church last night (Friday 17th). We were taken back in time as we heard music from a variety of Baroque composers from Bach to Jean-Marie Leclair played on 18th Century replica instruments. The music was beautiful and the little introductions about the composers and instruments fascinating. We very much hope we can hold a similar concert again in the future.

Christmas Baroque Concert
As part of the St. George’s Christmas Tree Festival this year, we are holding a Christmas Baroque concert at 7pm on Friday 17th December. Please come and join us for beautiful music in a beautiful setting decorated by amazing Christmas trees.
Christmas Tree festival now open
Thank you to the nearly 30 different local organisations, community groups, families, individuals and businesses who have decorated a Christmas Tree in St. George’s. They are quite a sight!
Come and view them in the church from 2-5pm and day this week.
Also remember Advent Doors at St. George’s on Sunday 4-6:30pm.
Community Christmas Meal
Thank you so much to Matt and the team (some pictured below) for organising such a wonderful Christmas event for the St. George’s Community Meal on Tuesday evening. There was beautiful Carol singing from Thanet Chamber Choir and around 35 guests enjoyed an amazing Christmas turkey meal with all the trimmings and Christmas pudding. The food was provided by the wonderful Our Kitchen Team. One of the guests said, “This evening has given the strongest sense of community so far.” Thank you to everyone who helped out to make it such a special occasion.
Christmas Tree Festival – 3 days to go
The Christmas Trees are installed in St. George’s church ready for this year’s Christmas Tree Festival. It opens on Friday and you can come to view the trees in the church any day from Friday 10th until Sunday 19th from 2-5pm. As part of the festival we will also be hosting Advent Doors on Sunday 12th from 4:00-6:30pm and Beachside Baroque will be performing a Christmas Concert on Friday 17th at 7:00pm. Do come and visit us at this festive time of year.
